M1V5

The fith version of our OG performance shortboard is our best yet. Influenced by the early to mid 00’s golden era of Australian performance designs (length, curve & concave) and mixed with contemporary widths and volume.

Designed for 2-6ft fun to good waves, the M1V5 revolves around maximum performance, but with added forgiveness and fine tuning for it to be surfed in a wide variety of conditions. We needed the new M1V4 to provide spark for explosive manoeuvres in everyday waves, while being predictable and reliable in pumping surf from our backyard beach breaks and slabs, to destinations like the Gold Coast points and small reef passes overseas.

Fast and alive with a single concave from nose to tail, moderate continuous rocker throughout the board and hip-squash creates a board that is incredibly fast and reactive underfoot.

What I and our team are on if there’s fun to good waves. Speed, drive and release. The latest V5 version has seen the overall rocker slightly lowered and nose widened to the same width as the Foot Soldier at 12” down from the nose. This has improved speed, sensitivity and flow immensely in all conditions. We recommend riding the M1V5 1-2” longer than you are tall and your standard HP shortboard width, thickness and volume.
